More than 3300 customers on Mount Desert Island are without power this morning, December 2, 2013. Communities affected include Southwest Harbor, Seal Cove, Bass Harbor, Islesford, Cranberry Isles and surrounding areas.

Restoration Details:Bangor Hydro line crews have been dispatched to determine the cause of an outage which has interrupted electric service to more than 3,300 customers in on Mount Desert Island. Communities affected include Southwest Harbor, Seal Cove, Bass Harbor, Islesford, Cranberry Isles and surrounding areas. Once crews have arrived on the scene they will isolate the cause and restore service as safely and quickly as possible.

Customers are reminded to never touch a downed line or a tree in contact with a downed line. Anyone using an alternate heat source should following manufacture guidelines to ensure safety.
