History Channel’s ‘American Pickers’ Is Coming Back To Maine
Do you have some old junk above the garage? Do you have a rusty old car out back behind the barn? Maybe it's worth something, maybe not. But if there's one thing I've learned from watching junk shows on TV, is that I would likely throw more money into the dumpster, than save to find out it's treasure. My eye for value is about as useful as a bus without seats.
That said, those crazy fellas from History Channel's American Pickers are going to be in the New England area, and are looking for collections to come and rummage through. Maybe you have an attic chock full of stuff that you've been meaning to get rid of for years. Well hold on just a minute, because these guys are likely to find something of value in what you see as a giant pile of cluttery crap.
According to a post via the American Pickers Facebook page, they are headed up this way soon, though no specific date is yet listed. However, they list a few different ways to get in touch with them. Send a message to them via Facebook here, by regular email at americanpickers@cineflix.com, or reach them by phone at 1-855-OLD RUST.
Who knows, maybe you'll even get the lovely Danielle on the phone to negotiate whether your pile of old Playboys and X-Men comics are worth anything.
Plus, if they do come to check out your junk, you'll be on national TV! Maybe do yourself a solid though, and tuck your shirt in and run a quick comb through your hair. If you're going to represent Mainers at large, do us proud! Otherwise you'll look like one of those flat-landers from away that wear pretty much nothing but pajama bottoms and a Caterpillar hat. No one wants to see that!
