6th Annual Downeast Horizons Color Fun 5K Run

The 6th Annual Downeast Horizons Color Fun Run 5K will be held rain or shine this Saturday September 10th at 9 a.m. This year’s theme is Spooky Neon! Come dressed in your favorite costume attire! This family friendly event starts at Downeast Horizons located at 77 Union Street in Ellsworth.

All participants will receive a race T-Shirt, protective glasses, color powder and temporary tattoos and are invite to enjoy a pre-party race in the parking lot! Free refreshments and ice cream will be served before and after the race while participants enjoy a DJ and photo booth!

Donations and proceeds from the 6th Annual Downeast Horizons Color Fun 5K will allow continued growth and support of adults and children with developmental disabilities. Proceeds will also fund social groups, activities and public service messages.

The 5K race is as follows: Start from Downeast Horizons parking lot, left onto Tweedie Lane, left onto Union St. at Stop Sign, left onto Maddocks Ave., continue on Maddocks Ave. to Main St., right onto Main St continue to McDonald Ave., right onto McDonald Ave. continue to Union St., left onto Union St. continue to Bayview Ave., right onto Bayview Ave. continue to Park St., right onto Park St. continue to Parcher St., left onto Parcher St continue to Paved Path, right onto Paved Path continue to American Ave., right onto American Ave continue through roundabout, stay Left onto Maddocks Ave Ext., continue through roundabout on Maddocks Ave Ext., continue out Maddocks Ave Ext. turn left onto Union St., right onto Tweedie Lane for Finish Line
