5th Annual Tremont Fire Department Polar Plunge Postponed

The 5th Annual Tremont Fire Department's Polar Plunge that was scheduled for Monday, January 1st has been postponed to Sunday, January 14th at 9 AM because of the bitterly cold weather.

There is a wind chill advisory in effect from 6 PM December 31st through 12 Noon on January 1st for Southern Penobscot, Interior Hancock, Central Washington, Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties.

New Year's Eve: Mostly clear. Lows 3 below to 9 below zero. Northwest winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Wind chill readings as low as 27 below.

New Years Day: Mostly sunny in the morning...then becoming partly sunny. Highs around 6 above. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Wind chill readings as low as 28 below.
