The City of Ellsworth celebrated Memorial Day 2025 with a parade and observance at City Haill.

Parade goers lined Main Street as units stepped off from the Moore Community School and crossed School Street walking down Main Street. There was then a 21-gun salute with a wreath being tossed into the Union River, off the bridge.

Parade goers lined Main Street in Ellsworth as units involved in the 2025 Memorial Day Parade walked down Main Street, stopping at the Union River Bridge to toss a wreath in the River and then back up to City Hall for the Observance at the War Memorial

From there parade goers and participants walked up to Ellsworth City Hall and the War Memorial. There was the singing of the National Anthem, the Cub and Boy Scouts led the Pledge of Allegiance. There was also an invocation, a brief speech by Ellsworth State Representative and Veteran Russ White. There was a brief recital of the general order creating Memorial Day and then flags and wreaths were solemnly placed in front of the War Memorial. Finally there was another 21-gun salute and the playing of taps.
