Thornton Promoted

Congratulations to Hancock County Sheriff Department  Deputy Christopher Thornton who was promoted to the position of Lieutenant this morning, February 3rd.

Thornton has been in law enforcement since 1996 beginning his career with the Limestone Police Department. He was hired at the Hancock County Sheriff's Department in 2004 as a patrol deputy and has most recently been assigned to the Maine Drug Enforcement Downeast Division in Ellsworth. Lt. Christopher Thornton will work alongside Lt. Timothy Cote as the patrol supervisors for the Hancock County Sheriff's Department.

Lt. Thornton is also a basketball referee in his spare time.
