At the Selectmen's Meeting on Tuesday, July 18th the Selectmen of  Southwest Harbor voted unanimously to authorize the Harbor Master NOT to allow anchorage to any boat with a capacity of 50 passengers or more in Southwest Harbor waters, with the exception for boats that are currently using the Harbor.

Additionally, the Selectmen are calling for a special Town Meeting in August to have voters vote on a moratorium and not allow cruise ships to anchor in Southwest Harbor waters. The date of the special town meeting hasn't been announced but as soon as it is, we will update this story.
