Southwest Harbor Nomination Papers Available

If you are interested in serving the Citizens of Southwest Harbor as a member of the Select Board as a School Board Member or a MDI High School Trustee, nomination papers need to be returned no later than this Friday, March 8th at 5 p.m.

Nomination papers are available from Jennifer LaHaye, the Town Clerk and will need to have a minimum of 25 signatures of  Southwest Harbor registered voters and no more than 100 signatures of  Southwest Harbor registered voters.

Seats open include:

Select Board - 1 seat, currently occupied by Luke Damon. Selectman Damon has announced that he will not seek re-election. He was filling the seat originally held by Dan Norwood who resigned in November 2022.

School Board - 2 seats.  These seats are currently occupied by Susan Allen and John Bench.

MDI High School Trustee - 1 seat. This seat is currently occupied by Ann Radcliff.

The Southwest Harbor Town Meeting will be held on Monday, May 6th with the Municipal Elections on Tuesday, May 7th. Absentee Ballots will be available starting on April 5th as the Southwest Harbor Town Office.
