Tanner Houck retired 20 of the 25 batters he faced, pitching 6.2 innings. He allowed 4 hits and a run, striking out 9. He had a no-decision as Chris Martin allowed Chicago to tie the game, allowing a 3-run homer to Mike Tauchman in the 8th inning. Kenley Jansen retired the Cubs in order in the 9th and picked up the win and is now 1-0.

Jarren Duran hit a 2-run triple in the 6th innings, and was 1-4.

Rafael Devers was 2-3, reaching base 5 times on the night. He walked twice and reached on an error.

Connor Wong was 2-4, driving in 2 runs, with singles in the 1st and 3rd innings.

Masataka Yoshida left the game after jamming his hand swinging the bat. He was replaced by Rob Resnyder.

The Red Sox are expected to have Vaughn Grissom join the team on Tuesday. He's been out all season with a left hamstring injury. He will play 2nd base.
