Red Sox Sweep Doubleheader from Yankees Winning Nightcap 4-1

The Boston Red Sox swept the New York Yankees, winning the night game of the day/night doubleheader 4-1. They had won the day game 6-2.. The win was their 4th in a row, and Boston is now 4-0 this year when wearing the yellow, Nike City Connect Uniforms.

Sunday night Brayan Bellow went 7.0 strong innings, allowing just 4 hits and 1 run. He set a career high with 8 strikeouts and walked 3.

Josh Winckowski pitched the 8th inning striking out 1. Kenley Jansen recorded his 15th save of the season, striking out 2 in the 9th inning.

Alex Verdugo went 2-4 and extended his season-long hitting streak to 9 games.

Tristan Casas was 1-3 with a 2-run double in the 5th inning.

Kike Hernandez was 1-4 with a RBI double. He now has 13 runs batted in over his last 21 games.

With the game tied 1-1 Jarren Duran made a huge catch in the triangle in centerfield
