MDI HOF Deadline Class of ’15

The deadline for nominations to the MDI Sport’s Hall of Fame is Friday September 4th! If you know of someone you feel is qualified to be part of the Class of 2015, you need to act quickly and get the forms in to Bunky Dow.

The MDIHS Hall of Fame was established to recognize outstanding achievement in extra-curricular activities at Mount Desert Island High School.  Each year the selection committee will select individuals to be inducted into the MDI Hall of Fame for their achievements at MDIHS.

To nominate an individual for consideration, you may use the online nomination form or download and complete the paper nomination form and return it to Bunky Dow.  Both include information that will help explain criteria that should be considered if you are planning to nominate someone for induction to the Hall of Fame.

To be eligible, the nominee must be a former student, coach or advisor from Bar Harbor High School, Mt. Desert High School, Pemetic High School or MDI High School.

They must have played two varsity sports, and have been out of high school for a minimum of FIVE years. They must have superior accomplishments in their sport, for example, All State, All Conference, All League etc.

The coach or advisor must not be a current employee of the MDI High School.

The induction ceremony will take place prior to the Homecoming Football game on Friday, October 16. The inductees will be presented with a clock and their names will be posted on the Hall of Fame board in the gym lobby.
