MDI High School Hosts Step Up Night – February 28th

All students planning on  or considering attending Mount Desert Island High School as members of the class of 2023 are invited to attend this year's Incoming 9th Grade Open House on February 28th with the doors opening at 5PM for the Activity Fair/Light Dinner with scheduled activities starting at 5:40.

At 5:40 students will meet with their newly assigned advisors and meet their new classmates that will make up their Advisory for the next four years.

At 6PM Principal Matt Haney will welcome all incoming students and their parents in the Higgins-Demas Theater.

At 6:15, students and their parents will be led through a rotation of activities by their advisors.  Those activities will include a tour of the building, an academic fair in the library, student and teacher panel presentations, and a chance to meet with teachers and learn about the core classes for Freshman.

Students that are attending independent schools or have undertaken home-schooling should contact Mark Carignan,  the Freshman Counselor via email or call him at 288-5046 extension 4, to ensure they are assigned to an advisory and that they have a full range of materials ready and waiting for them at the door.
