The MDI Girls Basketball Team are now 2-0 at home, after beating Washington Academy 49-18 on Wednesday night, January 3rd.

MDI led 11-3 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 17-5 at the end of the 1st Half. The Trojans led 31-12 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.

MDI was led by Lexi Tozier who finished with 14 points. Alexsandra Hanley had 10 points. Lily Norwood drained 2 3-pointers with Nora Paulson dropping the other 3-pointer for the Trojans. MDI was 5-8 from the free throw line.

Washington Academy was led by Taylor MacDonald with 4 points. Grace Howard, Kristen Smith and Chloe Kilton each had 3-pointers for the Raiders. Washington Academy was 2-4 from the free throw line.

MDI is now 5-2 on the season. They will host Old Town on Friday, January 5th. That game will be broadcast on AM 1370 WDEA, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device with the tip-off at 7 p.m. and pregame scheduled to begin at 6:40 p.m.

Washington Academy is 2-5. They will host Presque Isle on Saturday, January 6th at 4:30 p.m.
