MDI Football vs. Mountain Valley Friday September 1st [LISTEN LIVE]

The MDI Trojans kick off the season Friday night, September 1st when they host Mountain Valley at Alumni Field in Bar Harbor at 6 p.m.

MDI has changed the start time of all home games this season, with the exception of the game against the Waterville Panthers on September 22nd, which will be at the traditional time of 7 p.m.  All other home football games will kickoff at 6 p.m.

• Friday, September 22nd vs Waterville at 7:00
• Friday, October 6th  vs Spruce Mountain at 6:00

Friday night's game against Mountain Valley will be broadcast online at WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device.  The game will be on-air on WDEA AM 1370 from 5:40 p.m. until the start of our Red Sox broadcast at 7:10 p.m., when we will join the coverage of the Red Sox - Royals' game.

Our pregame show will start at 5:40 p.m. with the Coach's Show.

MDI finished the 2022 regular season with a 5-2 record and fell in the 8-Man Large Northern Division semifinals, falling to Waterville 22-12.

Mountain Valley was undefeated in the regular season last year, with a 7-0 record, playing in the 8-Man Small Southern Division. They lost in the quarterfinals to the eventual State Champion, Old Orchard Beach by a score of 28-16.

Friday night begins Chris Popper's 17th year broadcasting MDI Football games.
