Ellsworth’s Jaffray On the Cusp of 1000 Points

Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth should be packed tonight, as Junior Grace Jaffray is poised to be just the 3rd girl in Ellsworth High School's history to score 1000 points.

The other girls scoring 1000 points during their Ellsworth High School career include Lynne Wescott in 1988 and Trinity Montigny in 2020.

There have been 10 boys scoring 1000 points as an Eagle. They include John Edes and Jack Scott in 1954, Dick Scott in 1981, Tim Scott in 1988, Nick Johnston in 1999, Corey Dewitt in 2007, Jackson Curtis in 2020, Hunter Curtis in 2022 and Chance Mercier in 2023. 

Jaffray enters tonight's contest with Presque Isle with 988 points, needing just 12 points to attain that special 1000 Point mark!

Through 13 games this season, Jaffray has scored 275 points,  for an average of 21.15 points per game. She's averaging 5.5 rebounds per game.
