It was and epic night for Ellsworth High School senior Trinity Montigny. Needing 14 points entering Wednesday night's contest with Foxcroft Academy to become just the 2nd Girls Basketball player in Ellsworth High School history to score 1000 points, she was on fire, scoring 11 points in the 1st Quarter. She drained a 3-pointer from the left side with 7:48 left in the 2nd Quarter to join Lynne Wescott as the only girl's basketball players to have scored 1000 points in their career at Ellsworth High School.
Wescott scored 1000 points in 1988, the same year that Tim Scott joined the exclusive club.
After scoring her 1000th point, the game was stopped, for photos and presentation of the game ball.
It was just the 3rd time in Ellsworth history that 2 players had joined the 1000th Point Club in the same year. John Edes and Jack Scott did it in 1954, Lynne Wescott and Tim Scott in 1988 and this year Jackson Curtis and Trinity Montigny
Montigny ended the game with a career high 42 points, as the Eagles beat the Foxcroft Academy Ponies 80-35
