Maine is in Store for a Hot and Sticky Summer, According to NOAA
Last summer wasn't even summer.
I remember looking on Reddit or something one day, and there was a person complaining about how hot it was last summer. I had to laugh, because all I remember about last summer was that it seemed to do nothing but rain. And if it wasn't raining, it was just pure fog and sadness, haha.

Thankfully, that vibe carried right through the fall and early part of winter. Sure, I guess it's cool it never got that cold, but after not having any summer in our summer, it kinda sucked to have no winter in winter. Then of course, we had winter show up at the beginning of spring. But it looks like we may get a re-set on all of that.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has some news...
I guess it's up to you whether it's good news or bad news, but this summer it looks like we're going to have all the hot and humid weather we never got last year. With El Nino / La Nina transition wreaking havoc with weather systems all over the country right now, as well as in months ahead, it will manifest itself pretty warmly here in Maine according to Fox Weather.
Where last summer it seemed like it was always kind of gloomy and dark, this summer could potentially bring a series of heat waves through New England, says NOAA. The rub though, is that it could also alternate with above average precipitation. So it'll be out of the frying pan and into the rain box.

So even though it looks like there could be some improvement over last summer, it still looks pretty unsettled in general. Unsettled weather has been our middle name for a few years now. It's nothing new. But we probably all look forward to the day when Maine has some very boring, if not predictable weather. Or at least the seasons to all be in the right order, hahaha.
