If you need help with the disposal of your Christmas tree and you live in Bar Harbor, there is help. Of course, when you need help, you turn to the police and fire department, and that's who is offering to help, the Bar Harbor Police and Fire Departments!

If you are on Facebook, you can respond to the Bar Harbor Police and Fire Department's post HERE, or give them a call at 288-3391.

Your tree must be:

1. Out of the house for liability reasons
2. Out of its tree stand if possible
3. Available for outside pick-up between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday, January 3.

If you are able, you may dispose of your Christmas trees at the transfer station! The Bar Harbor Police and Fire Departments remind residents to stay safe and dispose  of dried-out trees, which are fire hazards.
