That's right, the jolly old elf with be loading his sleigh and taking a trip with the reindeer to Bar Harbor Friday night, December 1st. The reindeer and sleigh will be parked in Acadia National Park, but Santa will be in downtown Bar Harbor.

The festivities kick off with hot chocolate and cookies on the Village Green starting at 4:30 p.m.

Then Santa will arrive at 5 p.m. to light the tree and read 'Twas the Night Before Christmas! I'm sure Santa will want to sing a song or 2, so make sure you practice Jingle Bells and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, two of Santa's favorites.

The from 5:30 to 7 p.m. everyone is invited down to the MDI YMCA to visit with Santa and enjoy crafts and activities by the Summer Festival of Arts, Bar Harbor Hannaford and the Jesup Memorial Library.

The adults will want to take advantage of deals throughout Bar Harbor as part of the Village Holidays Sale, including the Half Price Sale of Acadia National Park Passes which will be on sale during the month of December for $35.00 instead of the normal $70.00.
