15 Thousand Still Without Power

As of 11:30 AM on Monday, January 11th, 15,375 Emera Maine customers were still without power as a result of the windstorm and rainstorm on Sunday afternoon and evening. Of that total, 11,482 customers were within Hancock County.

Emera Maine has brought in more than 30 external crews  to compliment a full force of Emera Maine workers on the restoration effort. Despite that, Emera Maine is estimating that some customers in remote areas, especially in Hancock County, will likely be without service until late Wednesday.
