According to Boston.com Bar Harbor is 1 of 5 trending destinations for people to spend the Thanksgiving Holiday. Bar Harbor is joined by Kinnakeet, North Carolina; Big Sur, California, Catskill, New York and Jackson, Wyoming.

A quick search of Airbnb.com for an arrival date of Wednesday November 24th and departure day of Sunday, November 29th turned up 60 locations on MDI that were available.

Now please understand that I'm not saying that these locations shouldn't be able to rent their property out over Thanksgiving weekend. There is a notice that potential renters should check COVID-19 travel restrictions. When you click there you are taken to Maine and the Keep Maine Healthy Certificate of Compliance for Maine Visitors. Visitors from New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts are exempt from the 14 Day Quarantine and from testing.  The exemption for visitors from Connecticut, New York and New Jersey ended effective November 4th.

Vermont has stopped the reciprocal agreement and are not allowing Maine residents into the State without quarantining

The Maine CDC has a whole page on Thanksgiving and safety. In light of the recent uptick in cases of COVID-19 in the State and in Hancock County, is this really the best time to be allowing out-of-staters to come to the area, even if they're from New Hampshire, Vermont or Massachusetts?
