The Ellsworth Eagles sit in 2nd place in the Class B North Heal Points with a 8-0 record. Outside of the 1st game of the season, against John Bapst and their last game Friday against Belfast, the Eagles really haven't been challenged. They've outscored their opponents 81-6. They have scored in double figures 5 times and shut out their opponents 3 times, and held their opponents to 2 runs or less in all 8 games.

MDI comes in with a record of 5-4 good enough for 5th place in the Class B North Heal Points. The Trojans last played on Saturday, at East Machias against Washington Academy, winning 8-0

Softball

Ellsworth comes in with a 7-1 record in the Class B North Heal Points with a 7-1 record, which puts them in 8th place. Freshman Tyler Hellum and Senior Kenzie Chipman have proven to be outstanding in the circle. Hellum has thrown a no-hitter. Ellsworth comes in with a 6 game winning streak, with their lone loss to-date coming at the hands of Old Town in the 2nd game of the season.

MDI sits at 4-5, in 16th place in the Class B North Heal Points. The Trojans are just out of playoff contention, as the top 14 teams make the playoffs.
