Who Wins? MDI or Ellsworth? [POLL]

It's the Battle for Hancock County on Tuesday, January 21st and Wednesday January 22nd when the MDI Trojans Basketball Teams head to Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth to play the Ellsworth Eagles.

Tuesday, January 21st the 3rd seeded Ellsworth Eagles Boys Basketball Team with a record of 8-2 play host to the 9th seeded 6-6- MDI Trojans. Ellsworth has a significant win, beating Hermon 50-49 on Wednesday, January 15th. The Trojans are looking for that huge win, and have an explosive offense when everything clicks. Just look at their 92-61 over Presque Isle on January 1st.

This game will be broadcast on WDEA AM 1370, on WDEA Internet Radio, on our free downloadable APP and on any Alexa enabled device. Amy Boles will join Chris Popper for the call of the game with the pregame starting at 6:30 and tipoff at 7 pm

Wednesday, January 22nd, the 6th seeded MDI Trojans Girls Basketball Team with a record of 9-4 head to Ellsworth to take on the 10th seeded Ellsworth Eagles with a record of 7-4. Ellsworth needs that big win to move up the Heal Points to have a home play-in game. They only have to look to last year, when they beat MDI in Bar Harbor 35-31.
