You've spent enough time at work this week.  Now, take some time for fun this weekend.

There may not be a whole lotta snow to take advantage of, but the tourists are long gone, and a peaceful Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island awaits you.

Whether you've been stuck at work all week or working at home, weekends in Maine are a good opportunity to get outdoors, breathe in the fresh air and see and do something new.

Most of the Park Loop Road within Acadia National Park may be closed to motorized traffic, but two sections of it remain open, Ocean Drive and the Jordan Pond Road.

There is no charge to enter the Park during the winter, all you're asked to do is obey the rules and preserve things for others to enjoy as well.  For instance, fat tire bikes are not allowed on the groomed carriage roads, and when there is plenty of snow, they ask that both dogs and those on snow shoes stay off the cross-country ski tracks.
