Warming Centers Open
Local area officials are opening up warming centers as the prospect for many in Hancock County and Greater Bangor to have their power restored is looking more and more less likely as Emera Maine is estimating it will take 2 to 3 days.
Hancock County has opened 3 centers. They are as follows
Hancock | Brooksville | Brooksville Fire Station/Town Office Warming Center | 1 Town House Road | OPEN | Open 24 hrs. |
Hancock | Stonington | Island Community Center Warming Center | 10 Memorial Lane | OPEN | Open from 6:00am until 8:30pm |
Hancock | Trenton | Trenton Fire Station Warming Center | 59 Oak Point Road | OPEN | Open from 4:30pm to 9pm. Food served |
And in Penobscot County
Penobscot | Bangor | Bangor Public Library Warming Center | 145 Harlow St | OPEN | Open from 10:00am until 8:00pm |
Penobscot | Brewer | Brewer Auditorium Warming Center | 318 Wilson Street | OPEN | Open until 10:00pm tonight, will reopen 11/1 at 6:00am |
Penobscot | Old Town | Old Town Middle School Warming Center | 156 Oak St | OPEN | Warming/charging center, open until further notice |
Penobscot | Orono | Orono Field House Emergency Shelter | 168 College Avenue | OPEN | Will open at 5:00pm as a Red Cross emergency shelter. |
