Use Acadia National Park At Your Own Risk During Government Shutdown
According to a post by the National Park Service the National Park Service is advising all visitors to ALL National Parks including Acadia National Park to use extreme caution if choosing to enter a National Park during the government shutdown.
National Park Service personnel will not be able to provide maintenance or emergency response. Any entry onto National Park Service property during the shutdown is at the visitor's sole risk.
The National Park Service will not be maintaining roads or walkways including plowing or ice melting.
