Unified Play Days This Weekend in Orono

Ten Unified Basketball Teams will be competing in The Courageous Steps Unified Fun Days at Orono High School this Friday and Saturday, March 8th and 9th.

The Teams from MDI, Ellsworth, Bangor, Brewer, Hermon, Mattatanawcook Academy, Mount View, Nokomis, Old Town and Orono will each play 2 games. Admission is free for Seniors, with admission fees for a family $8.00 and Students #4.00 and Adults $5.00. Concessions will be available, along with raffles.

I spoke with Connor Archer, the organizer about the day, as well as an event that is happening at Brewer High School on Tuesday, March 12th.

The Schedule for Friday and Saturday is as follows

Friday March 8th

• 4PM Orono vs. Brewer
• 5PM Old Town vs. Orono
• 6PM Brewer vs. Ellsworth
• 7PM Ellsworth vs. Old Town

Saturday March 9th

• 10AM Bangor vs. Hermon
• 11AM Mattanawcook vs. Bangor
• 12 Noon Hermon vs. Mattanawcook
• 1PM MDI vs Nokomis
• 2PM Mt. View vs. MDI
• 3PM Nokomis vs. Mt. View
