Trojans Girls Soccer Shuts Out GSA 2-0

The MDI Trojans Girls Soccer Team improved to 2-1 on the season with a 2-0 shutout over the George Stevens Academy Eagles in Blue Hill on Thursday, September 13th.

Lily Turner put MDI on the scoreboard with just over 7 minutes gone in the 1st Half, with a well placed shot over GSA's goalie, with Leila Weir getting the assist.

The Trojans led at the end of the 1st Half 1-0. Mei Cook provided MDI with a much needed insurance goal with 13:39 remaining with a shot up and over the outstretched hands of the Eagle's goalkeeper.

Sabine Costello-Sanders was in goal for the Trojans while Bess McArthur was in goal for GSA.

MDI 2-1 plays at the University of Maine against John Bapst on Saturday, September 15th at 1PM.

GSA 1-2-1 plays host to Houlton on Saturday, September 15th at 1PM.
