Trenton Acadians Improve to 4-1 After Beating Machias 8-0 and Falling to Bangor 2-0 Saturday

The Trenton Acadians Legions Baseball Team improved to 4-1 this season after beating Machias 8-0 and falling to Bangor 2-0 on Saturday.

In the first game, the 8-0 victory, the Acadians scored 2 runs in the 1st inning, then added 4 runs in the 2nd and 2 runs in the 3rd en rout to the 8-0 shutout.

Craig Burnett started on the mound and pick up the win for the Acadians. Machias managed just 3 hits.

In game 2 against Bangor, Trenton managed just 3 hits.

Trenton beat Sebasticook 10-1 on June 19, and Machias Post 9, 9-8 on Tuesday June 22nd. They also beat Sebasticook 22-0 on Thursday June 24.

The Acadians are tied with the Bangor Comrades, and Central Maine atop the Northern Maine American Legion Conference with 4-1 records.
