Trash Pick-Up in the Town of Mount Desert

The Town of Mount Desert wants to remind residents that they are continuing to pick up trash curbside, even though  several dumpsters were removed from throughout town due to COVID-19 concerns.

The trash pick-up schedule may be found HERE. The Town is currently operating on it's Winter Schedule, with pick-up once per week.

Residents with concerns may call the "Garbage Hotline" at 276-5733, which is a answering machine. Please leave your name, address and telephone number if you are having an issue. Trash must be out for collection by 7 a.m. on the scheduled pick-up day.

If residents miss the pick-up you can bring the garbage to the transfer station in Southwest Harbor, on the Long Pond Road which is off the Seal Cove Road.
