Accident Closes Washington Junction Road, Hancock [UPDATE]

An accident caused police to shut down the Washington Junction Road in Hancock, for a time this morning.

UPDATE: The Hancock Volunteer Fire Dept. reports the Washington Junction Road is now back open. 

Drivers are asked to avoid the area, as the Washington Junction Road is closed from Thorsen Road to the Route 1 intersection. The Hancock County Volunteer Fire Department reports on Facebook that this is a two-vehicle accident with injuries. How many people are hurt or the extent of their injuries has not been released.
