Town of Bar Harbor Mask Policy Effective Monday May 24
The Town of Bar Harbor posted the following mask policy which will go in effect on Monday, May 24th.
Effective Monday May 24,2021 in conjunction with Governor Mills’ recommendations which are based on the latest USCDC guidance the town will no longer be requiring fully vaccinated employees or visitors to wear a mask while in municipal buildings.
Those who are not vaccinated will still be required to wear a face covering.
Employees who are more comfortable wearing a face covering are certainly encouraged to do so.
The Town of Bar Harbor will continue to provide free masks for all visitors to municipal buildings.
This same policy will extend to those working outside of municipal buildings. If you are a Bar Harbor Town employee, working outdoors you will not be required to wear a face covering. If you are traveling in a town-owned vehicle with other employees who are all fully vaccinated face coverings are not necessary.
Plastic shields at counters will remain in place.
