The Town of Bar Harbor issued a COVID-19 Update on their website, Friday, April 24th at 4 p.m.

On Tuesday, April 21st the Town of  Bar Harbor continued the closure of public access to the Municipal Building offices, Highway Garage, Wastewater Plant, Police Station, Fire Station, Harbormaster’s office, playgrounds and comfort stations until May 15, 2020, by extending the State of Emergency.

They also schedule the open town meeting for June 30, 2020 and scheduled the secret ballot town meeting for July 14, 2020.

MDI Hospital has now had 4 positive cases of COVID-19 and there have been 8 cases confirmed in Hancock County

To insure that the Bar Hannaford's supply goes as far as possible, the store has instituted a daily limit of 1 per customer for each of the following items (this is a reduction from 2 per customer as of April 6th). No more than 50 people are allowed inside the store at any one time, so please limit the number of  shoppers per household.

Effective thru 5/9 the Bar Harbor Hannaford store hours will be 7 am- 8pm.

Effective 4/21 Senior hours will move to 7 am- 8 am on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

The Bar Harbor Hannaford has one way directional aisles in place to keep traffic flowing with minimal encounters of traffic coming the opposite way.This will make it a little easier to achieve 6’ social distancing. There are daily limits on the following items
