Carroll O'Connor was born today back in 1924. Best known for his portrayal of the bigoted, blue-collar Archie Bunker on "All in the Family" He was nominated for eight Academy Awards, winning four. He was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame in 1989. He died on June 21, 2001.
