Tip-A-Cop Monday August 6th to Benefit Special Olympics [PHOTOS]

There will be a whole lot of serving, and not a lot of protecting at Pat's Pizza in Ellsworth on Monday, August 6th from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Last year was Bart Tokas' last year as the organizer, and $3750 was collected through the community's generosity to be given to the Maine Special Olympics. This year, Shawn Merchant is the point person, and he's hoping that the community will come out and support the members of the Ellsworth and Bar Harbor Police Departments, the Hancock County Sheriff's Department and the Hancock County District Attorney's Office as they all work together to collect as much money as possible for the Maine Special Olympics.

This will be one of Detective Dotty Small's last public events as a member of the Ellsworth Police Department before she retires this month! With a little luck maybe you will get her as your server

Thanks to Tim and the crew at the Ellsworth Pat's Pizza who do so much for the community and take these "rookie servers" under their wings on Tip-A-Cop Night.
