Thunder Hole Could Be Amazing But Beware [PHOTOS/VIDEO]
Thunder Hole in Acadia National Park could be amazing on Saturday, with the remnants of Hurricane Dorian impacting the area, but it's very important that you follow the directions of the Rangers, and don't go climbing on rocks that are near the water and areas that are closed because of the danger of high waves and washover.
Back in August 2009 people were washed off the rocks, wave watching, and tragically a 7 year old drowned
This was the scene shortly before this tragic accident, and you can see that these 2 were lucky!
The marine forecast for Saturday from Schoodic to Stonington out 25 miles calls for Northeastly winds 20 to 25 knots, increasing to 25 to 30 knots in the afternoon, gusts up to 40 knots. Seas will be 4 to 7 feet, building to 8 to 11 feet in the afternoon.
