Thornburg to Injured Reserved List

Prior to today’s game against the Toronto Blue Jays, the Boston Red Sox placed right-handed pitcher Tyler Thornburg on the 10-day injured list with a right hip impingement. To fill Thornburg’s spot on the 25-man roster, the club recalled right-handed pitcher Travis Lakins from Triple-A Pawtucket.
