Thompson Island Picnic Area and Park Loop Road to Open April 15

Good news for those looking to take a drive on Saturday, April 15th!

The weather for Saturday is expected to be partly sunny with temperatures in the mid 50's in Downeast Maine.

The Thompson Island Picnic Area as you head to Mount Desert Island is slated to open on Saturday, April 15th

The Park Loop Road in Acadia National Park will be opening for the season on Saturday, April 15th as well.

Remember you will need to have a valid park pass to enter Acadia National Park.

The Hulls Cove Visitor Center opens to visitors on May 5th and the Thompson Island Visitor's Center will open on May 15th.
