
Thompson Island Picnic Area and Acadia National Park Loop Road Open for the Season
Good news for those who want to take a drive and explore Acadia National Park!
The Thompson Island Picnic Area as you head to Mount Desert Island is open for the season
The Park Loop Road in Acadia National Park is also open for the season as of April 15th.
Remember you will need to have a valid park pass to enter Acadia National Park.
The Carriage Roads are still closed because of the muddy conditions.
The Hulls Cove Visitor Center opens to visitors on May 2nd, until then you can see a Ranger at the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce's Welcome Center on the corner of Main and Cottage Streets in Bar Harbor.
The Echo Lake Beach opened as of April 15th.
The Blackwoods Campground is slated to open on May 2nd and the Seawall and Schoodic Woods Campgrounds are set to open on May 21st.
The Bear Brook and Pretty Marsh Picnic Areas are set to open on May 27th.
