If you have purchased a vehicle from a "private sale" which does not include a temporary registration plate, you may be wondering how you can register that vehicle and legally drive it, with all motor vehicle offices closed

On March 23rd Governor Malls authorized the temporary stay of the requirement to register a vehicle after the transfer of ownership or title.

The following document should act as an official temporary registration which will remain in effect, at most for the duration of the emergency as declared by the Governor on March 18th.

You should print out the document and keep it in the vehicle. Note this does not stop the need for making sure the vehicle is properly insured.
