Teen Killed In Collision With Blueberry Truck
An 18-year-old from Marshfield was killed Monday afternoon when his pickup collided with a blueberry truck.
According to the BDN, Washington County Sheriff's Department investigators believe Cameron Roberts' pickup crossed the center line on Route 192 in Northfield and hit a partially loaded blueberry truck. Roberts died at the scene.
A 16-year-old passenger in the pickup, that had to be cut from the vehicle, was taken to the hospital by Life Flight. At last report, he was listed in stable condition. The driver of the Cherryfield Foods Inc. truck, 44-year-old Shawn Sprague of Addison, was taken to Down East Community Hospital with minor injuries.
The accident, that happened just after 2:00 Monday afternoon on Route 192 in Northfield was first discovered by an off-duty Washington County Sheriff's Deputy.
