Gardiner's Furniture in Baltimore offered a promotion saying that anything sold between January 31 and February  3 would be free if a Baltimore Ravens player returned the opening or second-half kickoff for a touchdown. A nice promotion, and they bought an insurance policy, figuring that they would score lots of publicity and sell lots of furniture.

Well they sold lots of furniture, about $600,000 worth, and between the store and the insurance company, that furniture is all free thanks to Jacoby Jones returning the second half kickoff 108 yards for a touchdown! "We're obviously thrilled," the store's marketing manager told The Baltimore Sun. "So exciting." Ummm yeah.. sure you are!

Jacoby Jones had seven career touchdown returns prior to the Super Bowl. The phrase "Taking it to the House" in this case meant "Furnishing the House for Free!"
