Sumner’s Young Signs NLI
In Downeast Maine, basketball is king. Young children fill the gyms watching their high school heroes play during the winter, dreaming of playing for their high school team. When these young children grow up, and actually make the team, they dream about playing basketball in college. For Sumner Memorial High School's Kala Young, that dream will become a reality next season!
Prior to the Sumner-Narraguagus game on Wednesday, January 4th, Kala Young signed her National Letter of Intent (NLI) to attend the University of Maine-Machias and to play for the Clippers next season!
Kala is the daughter of James Young and Jennifer Chase.
