Sumner Memorial High School Principal Amy Watson has announced the honor parts
for the Class of 2025. Graduation will be held on Thursday, June 5th at 7:00 p.m. on the
Charles M. Sumner Learning Campus.

This year’s valedictorian with highest honor distinction is Jackson Roan Fisher, son of
Tim and Liza Fisher, of Gouldsboro. Salutatorian with high honor distinction is Kali Sue
McLean, daughter of Chad and Karin McLean of Gouldsboro.

At Sumner, Jack competed on the cross country, indoor and outdoor track team as well
as the math team. He was a member of the 2024 State Class C Cross Country team.
Jack has been a member of the school’s Civil Rights team and the National Honor
Society. Recently, the Maine Seacoast Mission chose him as a Mission Scholar. He
will be attending Bates College pursuing a degree in Politics.

Kali McLean has participated in soccer and basketball. She was named to the PVC
third team for soccer in the fall of 2024. The PVC also awarded her the Spirit of the
Game Award for 2024. She is a member of the National Honor Society and serves as
the Sumner Chapter’s treasurer. Along with her family, she is an avid snowmobiler.
Kali will be attending Thomas College in the fall as she pursues a degree in Business
Administration.

The first honor essayist with high honors distinction is Saben Tenney, son of Robert and
Aimee Tenney of Sullivan. Saben has participated in cross country, indoor and outdoor
track. He was a member of the 2024 State Class C Cross Country team. Saben is a
member of the National Honor Society serving as the Sumner Chapter’s vice-president.
Recently, the Maine Seacoast Mission named him as a Mission Scholar. Saben will be
attending the University of Maine pursuing a degree in Psychology.

The second honor essayist with high honors distinction is Bianca Seavey Tucker,
daughter of Nick Tucker and April Seavey of Sullivan. Bianca is the recipient of the
Maine Principal’s Award for Sumner. She is a participant in indoor and outdoor track.
She is a member of the National Honor Society, serving as the Sumner Chapter’s
president as well as holding the office of secretary for the Class of 2025. She has
amassed over 250 hours of community service during her high school years. She will
attend the University of Maine’s Pre-Med program with a double major in Political
Science
