Ellsworth Softball Loses to Foxcroft Academy 26-8

The Ellsworth High School Softball Team lost to the Foxcroft Academy Ponies 26-8 in Ellsworth, in a game stopped after 5 innings.

The Ponies outhit the Eagles 18-4. Both teams struggled defensively with Ellsworth committing 5 errors and the Ponies making 4 errors.

Kaylee Bagley started in the circle for Ellsworth and went 3.0 innings allowing 9 hits and 9 runs, 4 of which was earned. She struck out 2 and walked 1. Colby Hardison came on in relief and pitched the final 2.0 innings, allowing 9 hits and 17 runs, 11 of which were earned. She struck out 2 and walked 9.

Lili Bisson pitched a 5 inning complete game for the Ponies, allowing 4 hits and 8 runs, 5 of which ere earned. She struck out and walked 6.

Jenna Moon had a double and drove in a run for Ellsworth. Beka Trundy had a single and drove in 2 runs. Cam Clough had a single and drove in 2 runs. Greenlea Harmon had a single

Colby Hardison and Olivia Doyle each had 2 stolen bases and Abby Doyle had 1 stolen base.

Jenna Hartford was 4-5 with a double for the Ponies. Lucy Bisson went 3-4 with a double and drove in a run. Lili Bisson was 2-5 with a double and drove in 3 runs, helping herself at the plate. Payson Hall was 3-6 with 4 runs batted in. Addison Menz was 2-3 with a triple and drove in 6 runs. Jadenne Frigon was 2-3 with a pair of runs batted in. Ava Turner and Emma Crossman each had a single.

Foxcroft Academy is now 2-8. They will play at home against John Bapst on Tuesday, May 19th.

Ellsworth is now 5-3. They will host Caribou in a doubleheader on Monday, May 18th with games at 2 and 4 p.m.
