Both Sumner Memorial High School and the Ella Lewis School in RSU #24 have been impacted by the State of Maine designating Washington County as "Yellow" on Friday afternoon, October 30th.
Even though Sumner Memorial High School is in Hancock County, it does have students attending from Steuben, which is located in Washington County.

As of noon today Washington County has been updated to a Yellow COVID-19 status. As a result, all students K-12 must begin to engage in a fully hybrid learning model. Teachers have assigned all students to in-person learning on either Monday / Tuesday or Thursday / Friday. All students should continue to engage in learning remotely when they are not in-person. We have been contacting parents since 1230p today. If you have not been contacted yet or need clarification on your child's new assignment please contact the school 207/546-2430.
