Do you have a bunch of legos sitting around your home? Have you or your children outgrown the legos? Don't throw them away! I have the perfect solution for you to dispose of them, and in turn help make someone's holiday a little brighter!

Sumner High School students are working with Markus Ford, a teacher in their Design Lab. They are collecting legos, and will clean them, and then rebox them and give them to children in time for Christmas.

If you would like to donate LEGOs to this project, feel free to drop them off at the front door of Sumner Memorial High School.

Donations can also be dropped off at any of the K-8 schools in RSU 24:

  • Cave Hill School, Eastbrook
  • Mountain View School, Sullivan
  • Peninsula School, Gouldsboro
  • Ella Lewis School, Steuben

If you have a large donation and can't make it to a school, they may be able to pick them up from you. Questions and comments can be directed to Markus Ford at mford@rsu24.org

To request a LEGO delivery, email Markus Ford or touch base with your local RSU 24 school.

As this is their first year doing this, they really don't really know how many donations they'll receive. They also don't know how many requests there will be either.

Given the connection to  Sumner Memorial High School they will first fill requests from towns in the RSU 24 school district. To the best of their ability, they will also fill requests from other towns in Hancock County.
