Sumner Girls Soccer Begins the Season 2-0

The Sumner Memorial Girls Soccer Team has begun the 2019 Season 2-0 after a pair of victories. They beat Searsport 3-1 on Friday September 13th and Deer Isle-Stonington on Wednesday, September 11th by the score of 4-1.

On Friday, at home against the Vikings Briana Flaherty, Rachel Colby and Skylar Soule all figured in on the scoring. Flaherty , Colby and Soule each had 1 goal for the Tigers, with Soule adding 2 assists and Colby 1 assist.

In the opener on September 11th at Deer Isle Stonington it was again Flaherty , Colby and Soule in the scorebook. Colby had 2 goals, and Flaherty and Soule each had a goal. Soule also added 2 assists while Colby had an assist as well.

The Sumner Girls are back in action on Wednesday, September 18th when they play host to Bucksport at 4PM
