Jungle Breakfast – The Perfect Way to Start the Morning [PHOTOS]

Saturday morning, June 27th my wife Bonnie and I hosted a Jungle Breakfast for 11 children in our neighborhood. It's become a summertime tradition!

This year, my 8-year old neighbor planned the menu, and even went shopping with me on Friday. We bought cereal boxes, milk, chocolate and strawberry straws, bananas, yogurt, individually wrapped donuts, mini bagels, cream cheese, animal crackers, juice boxes, bananas and eggs to be hardboiled. He picked out the flavors of everything!

We had hot chocolate with whipped cream and for the adults coffee with bagels. We brought out the toaster and Keurig machine.

With a jungle breakfast, the kids have to find all the food. We've been very creative in the past, with notes giving them clues where the food was hidden, but this year we just straight out hid the food.

It's a fun neighborhood and everyone was very appreciative!
