The 3rd Friday of November is Substitute Educator's Day.. A day to celebrate substitute teachers!

Substitute teacher's are a gift from God! These days, there's not a school district in Maine that isn't looking for good subs! With the pandemic, it's just been harder and harder to find people who are good and reliable and willing to work in the schools!

Interested in being a substitute teacher in Maine? You'll need to undergo a background check. You need to have a high school diploma or GED. Schools look for at least 2 years of college education. A teaching certification is not required. You'll also have to undergo mandatory fingerprinting every 5 years.

The pay isn't bad, and you can basically pick and choose what days to work. Plus you get to work with the kids in our schools!

To all the subs out there! Thank you for all that you do! You are helping to keep the schools open!
